Karina GLAPKA

Karina Glapka has joined EDA in October 2021 as the Policy Officer Industry Engagement and EU Policies. Her tasks, among others, include pursuing coherence with and assessing wider EU policies and their implication for defence with a view to developing synergies and supporting the implementation of such policies in the defence domain. She is also coordinating EDA’s work on effective procurement, aiming to improve cooperation between Member States.

Karina Glapka has 20 years of experience in armaments area, working at various positions at the Polish Ministry of National Defence and the EDA. She has focused in particular on issues related to armaments cooperation and defence industry at national, regional and European levels. She has successfully managed a number of different projects, including preparation of joint procurement. She holds a master’s degree in European Politics from the Lund University (Sweden).  Since 2021, she has been the (co)Moderator of the Project Circle on Green Procurement for the first phase of IF CEED.
