Sean WHITE

Sean White took up his role as Director for Industry, Synergies, and Enablers at the European Defence Agency (EDA) in June 2024. Prior to joining EDA, Mr. White served as Director of Communications Information Systems and Cyber Defence within the European Union Military Staff (EUMS) at the rank of Brigadier General.

Throughout his extensive military career, Mr. White held diverse command, staff, and leadership positions, both domestically and internationally. His experience includes projects in financial services design, IT consultancy, information management, CIS procurement, and medical operations delivery. In his role as Director of CIS & Cyber Defence at the EUMS, he contributed to the development of the EU Policy on Cyber Defence, particularly supporting the establishment of an EU Cyber Domain Coordination Centre.

Mr. White also collaborated with military and industrial stakeholders on the functional military analysis for the proposed next-generation EU Command and Control System for the Military Planning and Conduct Capability (MPCC). His international service includes deployments in Lebanon (UNIFIL), Somalia (UNOSOM), Kosovo (KFOR), and Chad (EUFOR TChad/RCA).
